Orbiting planetsEdit

Main articles: Planets of the Solar System & Solar System.

Eight planets orbit the Sun, the farthest, Neptune, taking just under 165 Earth years to orbit it once.

Being the largest object in the Solar System, the Sun's diameter is over 10 times that of Jupiter's.

  • Looking directly at the Sun via the naked eye is very dangerous to your eyes and using binoculars/a telescope is even worse, however there are solar-viewing glasses and pinhole cameras for safe solar viewing.
